Opera superstar Plácido Domingo is facing allegations of sexual misconduct in the workplace from at least nine women spanning a period of 30 years. The women say Domingo regularly harassed them and tried to pressure them into sexual relationships. Several say he forcibly kissed them or touched them without consent. In some cases, he called them incessantly at home, including late at night. Seven of the nine accusers say their careers were negatively affected after they resisted his advances. Domingo, known by many as one of the famed “Three Tenors,” is currently the director and conductor of the Los Angeles Opera. The L.A. Opera said it would hire an outside investigator to look into the claims.
