According to CBS, the incident happened on June 23, local time. Watson said he had no intention of taking the UAV to the beach at first because it was a family trip. But a few hours after arriving at the beach, he decided to take some pictures with the UAV. Thirty seconds after the UAV took off, he noticed something in the water that looked like a shadow lurking beside the child. Although he was not entirely sure it was a shark, he decided to put the safety of the children first, so he immediately shouted at the children and let them go ashore.
Watson didnt realize it was really a shark until he came home that night and saw the HD photos. We can clearly see it swimming towards the children, he said. Photographs show that sharks first swim in the direction of children playing in the water, but when the children run back to the beach, the sharks swim away. Watson said his two sons were interested in shark photographs, but his 9-year-old daughter showed great fear and nervousness.
